One Chief Justice, ten judges appointed
New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) An Andhra Pradesh High Court Judge has been elevated as Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court and ten Additional Judges have been appointed as Judges of Delhi and Bombay High Courts, it was announced today.
The appointment of Justice Jasti Chelameswar as Chief Justice of the Gauhati HC by President A P J Abdul Kalam takes effect from the day he assumes charge of his office, an announcement said.
Delhi HC Additional Judgees Shiv Narayan Dhingra, Sunder Lal Bhayana, Jatinder Mohan Malik, Reva Khetrapal, Sri Niwas Aggarwal and Pravesh Kumar Bhasin have been appointed Judges of the Court, in that order of seniority, another announcement said.
Bombay HC Additional Judges Vasanti Anil Naik, Jagmohansingh Hakamsingh Bhatia, Ravindra Chandrakant Chavan and Roshan Shamim Dalvi have been appointed Judges of the Court, in that order of seniority, a third announcement said.
The Judges' appointments take effect from the day they assume charge of their respective office, the announcements said.
