MP's wife fined for travelling without ticket

Allahabad, Apr 20 (UNI) The wife of a JD(U) MP from Bihar was fined for ticket less travelling in a train last night by the North Central Railway (NCR) officials.

The accused, wife of JD(U) Lok Sabha member from Maharajganj (Bihar), Prabhu Nath Singh was travelling in AC I-class coach of New Delhi-Patna Rajdhani Express Train without a ticket.

On vigilance information, senior divisional commercial manager Mohd Azhar Shams along with RPF and GRP jawans reached the Allahabad junction.

When women RPF constables knocked on the door of the coupe, they found two berths occupied by the MP's wife and their two sons.

The vigilance team realised the differences of Rs 10,380 and allowed her to go. The train was delayed for half-an-hour.

There had been heated exchange of words between the squad and the MP's wife at Kanpur junction too, but she had not opened the door.
