Mayawati alleges BJP-Cong-SP axis
Hardoi, Apr 20 (UNI) Flaying the BJP and the Congress, BSP chief and former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today alleged that both the parties were tacitly supporting the Samajwadi Party (SP) for vested interests.
''People will not let that happen. They have realised the true faces of BJP and Congress. Therefore, BSP will get absolute majority in the ongoing assembly poll,'' Ms Mayawati said addressing an election gathering here.
Alleging a 'secret pact' between SP and BJP, she charged ''while Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav is striving hard to remain in power, the latter is dreaming of capturing the power at the centre.
That is the only reason behind the pact.'' Reproaching the Mulayam regime, she alleged both Mr Yadav and his close aide Amar Singh had siphoned off large funds from the state exchequer and were planning to flee the country. ''But, I will not let that happen.'' ''After coming to power, I will expose all the wrongdoings of Mr Yadav. Just wait and watch,'' the BSP leader underlined.
She asked voters to use their wits as ''Mr Yadav is trying'' to confuse them by showing wrong exit polls. ''Sadly, even a section of media is hand-in-glove with him,'' she alleged.
