Lightning claims mother and son

Jamshedpur, Apr 20 (UNI) A mother and her 10-year old son were killed when lightning struck them at Badabanki village in East Singhbhum district last evening.

Police today said the tragedy occured when one Sukramani Devi(35) was sleeping along with her two children in a hut as lightening hit them.

The women and her son Topo died on the spot while her 14-year old daughter Nitima was seriously wounded. She was rushed to the hospital.

The bodies were sent for post mortem, police said.
