Life remained paralysed in Banihal town
Doda, Apr 20 (UNI) Normal life remained paralysed in Banihal town of Ramban district today as people observed complete bandh against the arrest of four persons, including a couple, on the charges of attempt to kill Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad last week.
There was a complete shut down for eight consecutive days as all the business establishments also remained closed. People shouted anti-government and anti-Congress slogans during the demonstration.
State police have arrested Farooq Ahmad Wani, his wife Haseena, resident of Duligam, Abdul Rashid of Nowkoot, and Mohammad Akhter of Shagen, all from Banihal, on the charges of attempt to assassinate the Chief Minister during his maiden visit to Ramban.
