LBF Publications may change pattern of primary education

Indore, Apr 20 (UNI) With the proposed launch of 143 books on April 22 for primary classes, Learn By Fun (LBF) Publications Pvt Ltd has not only staked claim to a world record but also the introduction of a unique basic education system for students to develop practical knowledge besides fluency in English and Hindi.

''These books are the result of five years' research and our team's practical experience,'' said Mr Purushottam Agrawal, Chairman of the Agrawal Group that owns LBF Publications.

Claiming that it was not just business for any publications group, he added that the books introduced in the Group's Chameli Devi School and Agrawal Public School turned into a countrywide campaign due to motivation by Swami Avadheshanand Giri, the Mahamandaleshwar of Juna Akhada, who asked him to propagate these books.

''I am irritated by the emphasis on theoretical knowledge in the existing education system that does not develop the practical aspect. Moreover, it has been unable to make students excel in Hindi and English. Students suffer Mathematics phobia. However, the LBF's three-year-long experience in the two schools proved an eyeopener and the introduction of LBF books brought dramatic results vis-a-vis students' performance,'' Mr Agrawal added.

In LBF books the stress was on simplicity. Besides main subjects English, Hindi and Maths, Toddler Training, General Knowledge, Environmental Science and Drawing were included. The books were prepared such that the content could be easily translated from Hindi to English and vice versa.
