Kochi florist steals show at Abhi-Ash wedding

Kochi, Apr 20 (UNI) A florist in Kochi is happy that he would be making his presence felt, at least, at the Abhi-Ash marriage in Mumbai today.

Mr George Philip had sent exotic tropical flowers, "Heloconia'' and ''Bamboojit'' for the wedding.

Mr Philip told UNI the flowers were sent in two consignments on April 14 and 15.

''Both the varieties, priced between Rs 20 to 75, would stay fresh for a long time compared to other flowers,'' he said.

Without divulging the number of flowers that had been sent, he said the order was placed through a well known Bangalore-based wholesaler.

''There were instructions from the trader that the flowers should be chosen with utmost care,'' he added.

Mr Philip said he was happy to be a part of the marriage at least through his flowers.

Mr Philip, a veteran in floriculture, said both the varieties were extensively grown in the state, because of the ideal climate and had a myriad of colours which was a visual treat.
