India Cements Q4 net zooms 417.7pc

New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) India Cement Ltd today clocked a 417.7 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 139.8 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2007 as against Rs 27 crore during the corresponding period last year.

The total income of the company rose by 36.1 per cent at Rs 577.9 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 424.5 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2006.

The group has posted a net profit of Rs 453.3 crore for the year ended March 31, 2007 as compared to Rs 42.7 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
