I can spot tainted journalists: Rajnath

Varanasi, Apr 20 (UNI) Denying that any of the BJP candidates in Uttar Ppradesh assembly polls was tainted, party president Rajnath Singh here today fired a salvo at the scribes saying, ''I can spot many tainted faces among you.'' ''No tainted candidate has been fielded by BJP in UP. If at all our allies Apna Dal-JD(U) have fielded any such candidates in the state then go and ask them as I am not answerable to their conduct,'' a visibly disturbed Mr Singh said.

Queried as to whether he was a judge to give a clean chit to his candidates, Mr Singh said ''yes I am the judge in the party.'' Prodded further Mr Singh retorted ''do not ask me any further as I can spot many tainted faces amongst you.'' Asked to state the number of the tainted many among the scribes, Mr Singh was irked and said ''ab bas kariye.''
