Hearing in Red Fort attack case deferred till April 27
New Delhi, Apr 20 (UNI) The Delhi High Court today deferred till April 27 the hearing in the Red Fort attack case.
A division bench, comprising Justice R S Sodhi and Justice P K Bhasin, was to hear the Red Fort case today but Justice Bhasin expressed his inability in this regard.
Lashkar-e-Toiba's ultra Asfaq alias Arif and his Indian wife Rehmana Yusuf Farooqui have been convicted and sentenced in the case. Three Army personnel were killed in the attack on December 22, 2000.
Asfaq alias Arif has been sentenced to death under Sections 302 and 121 (waging or attempting to wage war or abetting the waging of war against the Government) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), while Rehmana, Babar Mohsin and Sadaquat Ali were held guilty under Sections 216 and 118 and Matloob Alam under Section 420 (cheating) of the IPC.
