Health Minister charged with anti-defection

Ranchi, Apr 20 (UNI) Jharkhand Speaker Alamgir Alam today said letter had been issued to suspended Forward Bloc MLA and Health Minister Bhanu Pratap Shahi to make his position clear as he was facing with anti-defection law.

Besides, the case of three BJP Legislators - Chatruram Mahto, Loknath Mahto and Samir Oraon - caught in a sting operation was being probed by a committee headed by Mr Girinath Singh (RJD), which was expected to submit its report within 45 days.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Alam said suspended BJP MLAs - Ravindra Rai and Pradeep - charged with anti-defection law had been asked to reply within 15 days.

The duo sought two months to reply but ''we have asked them to rely within 30 days, ''Mr Alam said.
