Govt appoints Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy new TUDA Chairman

Tirupati, Apr 20 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh government has appointed Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy as the new Chairman of Tirupati Urban Development Authority (TUDA), in the wake of his predecessor B Karunakar Reddy's appointment as the Chairman of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) trust board.

He was sworn in as the Chairman of TUDA.

The Chairman took the oath in the presence of former TUDA Chairman and present TTD board Chairman B Karunakar Reddy and several district MLAs and other leaders.

Earlier, hundreds of his supporters gathered at Sri Venkateswara University in Chittoor-Tirupati highway and organised a huge rally to TUDA ground, bursting crackers and shouting slogans, expressing their happiness.

Mr Reddy, the 11th chairman of TUDA, would hold the office for three years. The post was vacant since August 26,2006.
