Four day NERCPA conference at Kohima

Kohima, Apr 20 (UNI) A four-day long 10th North East Region Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (NERCPA) Conference will be held in the New Nagaland Assembly Complex here from May 3.

Official sources said that the NERCPA conference will be hosted by Nagaland branch of NERCPA. It will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee.

The conference will be attended by West Bengal Assembly Speaker Hasim Abdul Halim, Secretary General, Rajya Sabha Dr. Yogendra Narain, Secretary General of Lok Sabha F D T Acharya, MP and former Lok Sabha Speaker P A Sangma.

Besides Speakers and Deputy Speaker of all the North East States, one MP and three MLAs from each North Eastern State will be attending the conference.

The conference will have a session on Development of roads and communication, opening border trade, a scheme for self-employment.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio will inaugurate the New Nagaland Assembly Complex, near the Nagaland Secretariat Complex, on Wednesday next, sources said.
