Former Maoist leader acquitted
Rajahmundry, Apr 20 (UNI) Former Maoist leader Kommali Seshagiri Rao, who was charged in five cases, was today acquitted by a local court second Additional Sessions Court Judge K V Mahalakshmi, hearing the cases, acquitted Rao stating that the prosecution had failed to prove that Rao had committed the crime.
However, the case pertaining to Maredumilli blast, in which five police personnel were killed and Rao had been charged as one of the main accussed, was still pending before the court.
