Mumbai, Apr 20 (UNI) For the first time in history, India's foreign exchange reserves rose to a record US 203.092 billion dollars on April 13, from USD 200.320 billion a week earlier, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in its weekly stastistical supplement today.

The central bank said the foreign currency assets expressed in US dollar terms included the effect of appreciation or depreciation of other currencies held in its reserves such as euro, pound and yen.

The foreign exchange reserves include India's reserve tranche position in the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the bank added.
