Excise inspector caught red handed accepting bribe

Patna, Apr 20 (UNI) The vigilance sleuths today arrested an excise inspector Surendra Prasad posted at Shahpur Patauri in Samastiupr district when he was taking bribe of Rs 10,000 at his residence in Samastipur.

ADG Vigilance Neelmani said here today that the bureau had laid the trap on Mr Singh following a complaint made by Ranjeet Kumar who had informed that the excise inspector was demanding bribe of Rs ten thousand otherwise had threatened to put an adverse note on the stock register of his foreign liquor shop.

The arrested incpector, who was being interrogated, would be produced before the court in Muzaffarpur.
