COMFED offers milk products for summer relief

Patna, Apr 20: With rising mercury, mattha (diluted curd), flavoured milk, pro-biotic ice-cream and other delicious milk products are ready at every nook and cranny to quench the thirst in the summer season--courtsey Cooperative Milk Federation (COMFED) of Bihar.

Keeping in mind the needs of the commoners, COMFED has introduced new healthy and nutritious milk products during this summers.

Apart from being healthier than the cold drinks, these products are suitable to the pockets of all sections of the society.

These qualitative drinks can be enjoyed any where and anytime as the COMFED has planned to market them in easy to handle packagings.

These milk products have come as a good replacement of the branded cold drinks, feels Bihar deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi who also holds the Animal Husbandry department.

The COMFED is also planning to introduce Makhana kheer (Makhana dessert) shortly this summer itself.

Mr Modi said that year 2007-08 would be observed as 'Market Development and Cost Saving' year and a target has been fixed to enhance milk storage by 15 per cent in the current year to cater the demands of milk and its products.
