Centre, UP govt anti-farmers: RLD

Fatehpur, Apr 20 (UNI) Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president Ajit Singh today criticised the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments for their ''anti-farmer'' strategies.

Addressing an election gathering here, Mr Singh lamented farmers were committing suicide because they did not get money for their produce. "Vidarbha is an apt example in this regard.'' Despite the fact that there was ample wheat produce in the country, the Central government was importing it from Australia and US, he said.

SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav was only concerned about the welfare of particular castes, he alleged.
