Mysore, Apr 20 (UNI) Farmers and pro-Kannada outfits today resorted to agitations, dharnas and road blockades in the Cauvery basin region against the Cauvery Water Disputes Tribunal's final award.

The stir was pronounced on February 5, alleging gross injustice to the State and its farmers, which had entered the 75th day today.

In Mandya district, the Japasandara and Hanchanahalli farmers staged a dharna at Silver Jubilee Park and later blocked the Mysore-Bangalore expressway for some time. Dharnas were also held at Maddur, Srirangapatna and Pandavapura in the district.

In Mysore, the Cauvery Kriya Samithi continued its signature campaign to collect one lakh signatures to be forwarded to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, urging him to solve the decades-old row.
