Bridegroom thrashed, traffic blocked

Badwani, MP, Apr 20 (UNI) A frenzied mob staged a road blockade to protest the assault of a bridegroom and other members of a marriage-party by a bus driver and his assistant near Bilwa Fate in Anjad police station area of this district, police said.

The wedding procession was en route to Bhamouri from Fatyapur on Wednesday.

The incident took place when the vehicle carrying the bridegroom dashed against the bus and, in return, the bus driver thrashed him, the police said yesterday.

Narendra Sirwi, bridegroom's relative, has lodged a complaint against the absconding driver and his assistant.
