Body of Aas Mohammad recovered

Ghaziabad, Apr 20: The body of 12-year-old Aas Mohammad, who died on Tuesday after falling into a 12 feet deep manhole here, has been recovered by the municipal authorities from a water treatment plant today.

The body was identified by his father, Rais, a resident of Amar Colony. Aas had fallen into the manhole on Tuesday.

The army jawans have stopped their rescue operation which also involved Municipal Corporation and the Fire Brigade.

Irked over the incident, people had staged a 'dharna' on the national highway. The mob had also resorted to stone pelting wounding several people.
