AP Govt to provide scholarships to all BC students: YSR

Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Apr 20 (UNI) Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said his government would distribute scholarships to all Backward Class (BC) students in the state during the year.

Participating in several programmes organised in this district, Dr Reddy said the government had allocated sufficient funds for BC scholarships in 2007 Budget and the beneficiaries would get them without any delay.

Announcing the setting up an apparel park in Jammalamadugu by the end of this year, he said the government was providing pension and distributing loans to the weavers for their uplift.

Stating Krishna water would be supplied to Kadapa district to solve drinking water problem and the Gandipet Project works completed at the earliest, the Chief Minister said Rs 250 crore loans would be distributed to DWACRA Groups of the district during the year.

Dr Reddy laid foundation stones for a Rs 1.50 crore integrated hostel, Rs 12 crore water supply scheme from Mylavaram Project and bypass road at Jammalamadugu.
