3 booked for code violation

Robertsganj, Apr 20 (UNI) Three persons, including a ruling Samajwadi Party (SP) candidate, were today booked for violation of model code of conduct here.

District Magistrate R P Singh said an FIR was lodged on the instructions of the election observer.

The accused are SP district chief Ram Nihor Yadav, party candidate Munna Dhangar and block pramukh Pravin Kumar Singh.

They were accused of organising a feast to influence voters in Robertsganj reserved assembly segment.
