2 Maoist activists held in Haryana
Jagadhri, Apr 20 (UNI) The Haryana police arrested two activists of the Jagrook Chhatra Manch, an organisation that follows Maoist ideology, and recovered illegal weapons from them at Ismailpur village in Yamunanagar district today.
Jagrook Chhatra Manch Yamuna Nagar district president Samrat Singh and its secretary Jagtar were nabbed when they were travelling in a maxi cab near Ismailpur village, Superintendent of Police (SP) K V Ramana said.
A point 38 revolver with six cartridges and a nine mm pistol with a full magazine were recovered from them. Some literature, related to Maoist ideology, were also seized from their possession.
The duo was booked under the Arms Act and charges of sedition, the S P added.
