19 Bangladeshis arrested in Jammu

Jammu, Apr 20 (UNI) As many as 19 Bangladesh nationals were apprehended while attempting to cross over to Pakistan from International Border (IB) near here since last evening, official spokesmen today said.

Eleven Bangladeshis, including a woman, were arrested by the troops of 2/3 gorkha rifles near IB at Akhnoor sub-sector yesterday defence spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.

Meanwhile, eight Bangladesh nationals were apprehended near IB at Paharpur border outpost in Samba district, a BSF spokesman said.

The arrested people were later handed over to police.
