Womens commission tours villages to enquire about women's problems

Imphal, Apr 19 (UNI) Members of Manipur State Women's Commission, toured Jiribam sub-division of the Manipur border area, to understand the problems of the people, especially women.

The Commission officials, led by its Chairperson Dr Jamini Devi today said the tour of Jiribam sub-division, in Imphal East, lasted about three days. The team had left Imphal on April 15.

The team members interacted with the women representing Meitei, Bengali, Assamese, Muslim and other communities.

The Commission would be preparing a report based on the findings of the visit.

UNI
