US must urgently discuss Iraq with Iran and Syria : Primakov

Moscow, Apr 19 (UNI) Former Russian Prime Minister Yevgeny Primakov today urged the US to urgently discuss the Iraqi situation with Iran and Syria.

''The United States should immediately discuss the Iraqi situation with Iran and Syria. This is the way they should act, in my opinion. Unfortunately, that is not being done,'' Primakov said, who currently heads the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Primakov, an expert on West Asia affairs, told Interfax news agency that US forces in Iraq, may be replaced by Arab servicemen.

''The United States should not pull out immediately. I am against that. Russia is against it too. However, there should be a pullout timetable. Maybe, Arab forces should replace US servicemen in the future,'' he said.
