Three killed in truck-jeep collision near Bhandara

Nagpur, Apr 19 (UNI) Three persons were killed and seven others injured, five of them seriously, when their jeep collided head-on with a speeding truck in Bhandara district in Maharashtra today.

The jeep was on its way to Nagpur when it slammed into the oncoming truck near Dahegaon, about 18 km from Bhandara, this evening.

Two of the jeep's occupants, identified as Sukhchand Shobhelal Baghele and Manipal Pardhi, died on the spot, while the third, identified as Raju Chainlal Ambule, died on way to hospital, police said.

The seven injured have been admitted to hospital in Bhandara, where the condition of five of them is stated to be serious. The drivers of both the vehicles escaped unhurt, police added.
