Temple bash to mark Ash-Abhi wedding
Varanasi, Apr 19 (UNI) Even as the Bachchan family is yet to throw up a monumental bash in Mumbai to mark the big ticket Ash-Abhsihek matrimony, pilgrims from four states enjoyed a memorable feast at a temple here to pray for a blissful marriage of the two Bollywood heartthrobs.
Over 800 pilgrims from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Bihar enjoyed a grand feast at the Annapurna temple, organised by the Kashi Annapurna Anna Kshetra Trust. The feast was preceded by a musical bash comprising 'bhajans and badhai geets' belted out by the fans in front of photographs of Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan.
''The passage to Ash-Abhishek marriage began with the Bachchans and Ash visiting the Kashi Vishwanath temple here early on November 27 last year. It is our duty now to throw the first musical and culinary bash at the Annapurna temple for the success of the big ticket marriage,'' said temple head priest Mahant Rameshwar Puri.
Meanwhile, traders associated with Sigra Rathyatra Vyapar Mandal this evening couriered gifts for the star couple.
including 21 'Kamdar' Banarasi sarees, a dinner set, mixer-grinder and a water purifier.
