Sariska wildlife census from May 2
Alwar, Apr 19 (UNI) The wildlife census using the pugmark and transit line technique in Sariska sanctuary would be conducted between May 2 to May 18.
Rajesh Gupta, deputy conservator, Sariska, said tourists entry will be restricted during the period of census. Tourists would not be allowed into the park on May 2-3 and vehicles would be disallowed on national highways cutting through the sanctuary.
Waterholes in Sariska would be monitored 24 hours during the census. Observers have been appointed for the purpose.
Tourist entry would be restricted in the mornings from May 4 to 18.
Sariska sanctuary have drwan much flak from environmentalists as its tiger population became nil in the last few years.
