Sand sculpture, a wedding gift for Ash and Abhi

Puri, Apr 19 (UNI) It is a sculptor's gift through his art to Aishwarya and Abhishek who will tie the knot tomorrow.

A wedding gift through a unique medium of sand art is what International sand sculptor Sudarshan Pattnaik has created on the golden beach of Puri for Abhishek and Aiswarya.

Using 50 tones of sand Sudarshan has created an image of Aishwarya and Abhishek on a 15 feet long film role of sand on the beach here as a wedding gift for the couple.

It took nearly two days for the international sand artist to complete the sculpture with the help of the students of Golden Sand Art Institute, founded by him. To add life to the sand sculpture, the artist has used colour sand.

Sudarshan, himself a big fan of Big B, had in the past created a sand sculpture of Amitabh Bachchan on his 64th Birthday on the sprawling Puri beach and another sculpture on the Konark beach, praying for his fast recovery at the time of his illness.

The International sand artist who had participated in more than 29 International sand sculpture championships across the world and has won many awards for the country, told the media that he would be sending a photograph of his sculpture as a ''wedding gift'' to the newly wed couple.

Fans all over the world have started sending their best wishes to both Aish-Abhi but the fans from Orissa would enjoy this marriage ceremony in different way at the beach through an artistic way, Sudarshan said.
