Samjhauta Express searched for extremists at Ambala

Ambala, Apr 19 (UNI) On information about some extremists travelling in the train, the Samjhauta Express from Delhi to Attari was halted by the GRP at Ambala Cantonment Railway Station.

According to Railway sources here today, the GRP personnel headed by the DSP conducted an extensive search of the train, which continued for more than half an hour at about 0030 hours.

However, the train was allowed to leave the station after satisfaction of the search party.

It may be recalled that bomb explosions in two bogies of the Samjauta Express had claimed 68 lives in February.
