Rajnath son makes his debut at state party headquarters

Lucknow, Apr 19 (UNI) While Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, son of Congress President Sonia Gandhi, has become the whole time campaigner in Uttar Pradesh assembly polls,another politician son-Pankaj Singh- the son of its national president Rajnath Singh is still in the learning stage.

''We pitch in young ones after proper training,''the senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Yashwant Sinha told reporters.

Pankaj, who made his maiden presence at the dias during a press conference in the state party headquarters, did not utter a single word but the official word from the accompanying leader said it all.

Earlier, the son of Rajnath Singh was offered the BJP ticket from Chiraigaon assembly constituency, which he declined.

Mr Sinha said there was nothing like Pankaj being projected against Rahul Gandhi. ''He is still in the process of learning and the party would not do anything in a haste''.

Significantly, Rahul Gandhi whose today's campaign in the state was focused mainly on the youth and the presence of Rajnath's son added speculation of BJP might pitch in young leaders to counter extensive election by Rahul Gandhi.
