Pilgrim commits suicide

Varanasi, Apr 19 (UNI) A deranged pilgrim from Andhra Pradesh has jumped to death from a terrace in Tripura Bhiravi locality here.

Pangati Sarkaiyya (50), who was part of a 54-member group of pilgrims from AP, committed suicide under Dashwashamedh police station area yesterday.

Pangati's wife, who accompanied him to the holy city two days back, informed he was mentally ill. Body has been sent for autopsy.
