Manipur Film Forum piqued with Doordarshan policy

Imphal, Apr 19 (UNI) The Film Forum, Manipur, an apex body of film related organisations, has expressed shock over the way the programmes of the Doordarshan Kendra, Imphal for 2006-07 were selected.

Chairman of the Forum Wangkhem Lalit, in a letter addressed to the DG of Doordarshan, New Delhi said that presentations for the programme were held at the office of the DDG, PPC (NE), Guwahati from March 5 to 8, which caused hardship to the people for financial and logistic reasons.

The DDK, Imphal, was equipped for such presentation and there was no need to go to Guwahati, he added.

The Chairman also claimed that there were irregularities in the selection process.
