Maharashtra govt increases salaries of constables
Mumbai, Apr 19 (UNI) Maharashtra government today issued notification increasing the salaries of the police constables, naiks and havildars in the state.
An official release said here that while the constables and havildars will get the enhanced special allowance of Rs 500 while for police naik, it will be Rs 200.
The new wageboard will be implemented with retrospective effect from October 1, 2006.
Though the government had given approval for their salary hike, its implementation got delayed due to local bodies and Lok sabha byelections.
