Itanagar, Apr 19 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu will hold meeting with his Asom counterpart Tarun Gogoi to discuss the inter-state boundary issue.

Disclosing this to newspersons here yesterday, state government spokesman and Water Resources Minister Tako Dabi said the date was yet to be finalised.

Mr Dabi said finding an amicable solution to the boundary dispute between the two states would be one of the main thrusts of the meeting.

''The two states are also interdependent for their economic activities. Arunachal Pradesh has been helping Asom and its people in providing employment and business opportunities here'', he explained.

The Supreme Court constituted Local Committee will hear the matter here on May 10 and 11 next. The first hearing of the Committee was held at Guwahati from November 27 to 29 last year.

Mr Dabi said the government has decided that head of department in the districts will not be allowed to hold home posting, advocate general and senior government advocates appointed earlier would be asked to resign to pave way for selecting suitable persons and existing district land allotment advisory board would be reconstituted.

He said that the government has also decided to announce relief to the families of deceased persons killed by ultras in Tirap and Changlang districts.

However, the mode of package to the surrendered ultras was yet to be finalised by the government.
