HNGU sharpens its teeth against exam irregularities
Palanpur, Apr 19 (UNI) Saifi Arts&Commerce College, Siddhpur, in Patan district of Gujarat has been derecognized with immediate effect in the wake of leakage of accountancy paper of B Com final year examination last month.
Teachers C A Kharadi and S P Patel, who were doubling up as senior supervisors during examination at the local college, and two others from Kheralu Arts&Commerce College, B L Chodhri and S P Prajapati, who did duty as university observers and a clerk in the local Saifi College, have been debarred from examination work, Acting Vice Chancellolor of HNGU, B A Prajapati said.
The college management has been asked to terminate the services of a peon and suspend the Principal JB Maknojiya with a communication to Commissioner of Higher Education Gandhinagar, Prajapati said ''we are not going to spare any one involved in exam irregularities.'' The University had appointed a three-member probe committee consisting of Prof Rashmibhai Patel of Mehsana, Kanubhai Patel Modasa and Tejas Azad from Deesa College to look into the leakage of University paper. Only recently, a head clerk of the Palanpur Arts College Shantilal Vaisnav was debarred from the University Examination work.
