GoAir names Preity Zinta as its brand ambassador

Mumbai, Apr 19 (UNI) Faced with a stiff competition in view of the recent acquisition of Air Sahara by leading private carrier Jet Airways, the other low-cost airlines in the country are now fine tuning their business strategies to stay afloat in the industry.

In one such move, low cost airline, GoAir today named Bollywood actress Priety Zinta as its first brand ambassador.

''I am pleased to announce Preity as GoAir's brand ambassador.

Preity has similar essence which is in line with GoAir's image and her endorsement will help in enhancing and boosting the image of GoAir,'' GoAir Managing Director Jeh Wadia said in a media briefing.

As GoAir's brand ambassador, Preity will support and be part of various marketing and branding efforts for the airline and would be featuring in advertisements and promotions of the airline during an aggressive ad campaign, which the airline plans to launch very shortly.

''I am absolutely excited and delighted to be associated with GoAir. The airline is colourful, energetic, stylish, full of fun, just like me,'' Preity Zinta told the media.

Terming the airline as the one for the new flying youth of the country, Preity said in times of booming and flourishing flying culture, a low cost airline like GoAir represents the youth as they can even fly on their pocket money.
