MP: Former judges meet at Indore

Indore, Apr 19: Chief Justice of Supreme Court K G Balakrishnan will inaugurate the two-day conference of former judges of the Apex Court and the High Courts here on April 21.

Association of Retired Judges of Supreme Court and High Courts of India, International Law Association and NGO Centre for Community Economics and Development (CECOEDCON) are organising the conference.

A seminar on 'Role of former judges in building the nation' will also be organised.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the chief guest at the inaugural function, according to the organisers.

The conference will also deliberate on 'Strict implementation of legislations on environment and water resources to check global warming and its effects on water resources'.
