Farewell to K'taka HC Judge
Bangalore, Apr 19 (UNI) Mr Justice R Gururajan was today bid a warm farewell in a special assembly of the full court and members of the Bar on the Karnataka High Court premises on his attaining superannuation.
State Bar Council Chairman Rajendra C Desai, in his farewell address, said Mr Justice Gururajan, who was elevated as a judge of the High Court in 1999, had worked with zeal to deliver several landmark judgments based on sound, logical philosophy of constitutional interpretations and judicial activism controlled with tremendous common sense to keep it judiciously within the sphere of judicial function assigned by the Constitution. He had always been sensitive to the hardships and problems faced by litigants and discharged his judicial work with devotion and dedication.
Mr Justice Gururajan began his reply by chanting the mula mantra of his ishtadevatha Lord Narasimha and thanked his fellow judges, staff, his family members and lawyers for cooperating with him in rendering justice. There was no difference between the Bench and the Bar and today the lawyers had a key role to play in the justice delivery system.
