Speaking at a programme, organised by the Indian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Embassy in Denmark, Danish Ambassador to India Ole Lensmann Paulsen here today said that with growing opportunites in Bengal, his country would like to invest in sectors like renewable energy, textile, chemicals and bio-tech.

The Danish Ambassador will meet Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee next Thursday to discuss investment opportunities in the state.

He said he would look forward to join venture or collaborations of any sort in the above mentioned sectors.

Currently, 70 Dannish companies are operating in India. However, there are hardly any in Bengal.

The bi-lateral trade between India and Denmark was 7.5 billion kroner in the last fiscal.
