Dacoit gangs are in fray to defeat BSP candidates
Fatehpur, Apr 19 (UNI) BSP General Secretary Indrajeet Saroj has alleged that four dacoit gangs carrying bounty on their heads are in the fray simply to defeat the Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) candidates at the instance of other political parties, in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
Talking to reporters, Mr Saroj said,''The four notorious -- Shiv Kumar alias Dadua, Munni lal Yadav, Ambika Patel alias Thokia and Om Prakash Nishad alias Veerbaba are carrying a reward of Rs 20,000 to Rs 5 lakhs on their heads.'' The younger brother of Dadua, Bal Kumar is contesting on a Samajwadi Party ticket from Patti assembly seat of Pratapgarh district, mother of Thokia dacoit, Piyaria Devi is contesting from Naraini assembly seat of Banda district on a ticket of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) and daughter-in-law of Umar Kaiwat is contesting from Baberu assembly seat in Banda district.
Dacoit gangs are active in the Karchana and Bara of Allahabad, Mau Manikpur and Kurvi of Chitrakoot, Naraini and Baberu of Banda, Manjhanpur, Chayal and Sirathu of Kaushambhi, Kishanpur, Hasva and Jahanabad of Fatehpur.
