CPI demands dissolution of 20-point programme committee

Patna, Apr 19 (UNI) Charging the Bihar government with wilfully constituting 20-point programme execution committee, the state CPI today demanded its immediate dissolution.

State secretary of the party Badrinarayan Lal said here that the committee was dominated by the ruling coalition, the JD(U) and BJP, he added that monitoring of the developmental works would be impossible without the proper representation of the Opposition parties and the NGOs in the committee.

He elaborated that in the 80-member committee 13 were from the JD(U) and 12 from the BJP and only nine members from the Opposition Describing the committee as an ''unbalanced'', he said it was formed to get the political benefit and will have its adverse impact on execution of the 20-point programme.

He demanded constitution of a fresh committee dissolving the existing one.
