BJP Minority Front holds 'dharna' against Doordarshan

Ahmedabad, Apr 19 (UNI) Charging the Central government-run Doordarshan with complete ignorance of the Gujarat government's achievements, state BJP Minority Front today held 'dharnas' at the four centres of the network, including the one in the city.

''Doordarshan charges money for telecasting 'Vibrant Gujarat' programme of the state government, while it does not charge anything for telecasting Congress-sponsored cycle rally in the state,'' Front president Sajjadbhai Hira has alleged.

''This is a bias against the Gujarat government, against which we register our strong protest,'' he said.

''If the Doordarshan does not change its policy, the Front will intensify its agitation against it,'' Mr Hira added.
