Babulal demands Koda govt's dismissal

Ranchi, Apr 9 (UNI) Jharkhand Vikas Morcha president Babulal Marandi today demanded dismissal of Madhu Koda government saying that the district administration had not registered FIR against Mr Koda till date despite repeated court orders in connection with two-and-half year old case.

Mr Marandi, the former Chief Minister, said Hiralal Mahto of Argora locality had lodged a complaint in 2004 in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) accusing Mr Koda of threatening with dire consequences.

The complaint also mentioned that a cheque issued by Mr Koda against a land purchase had bounced.

Mr Marandi said he would approach Governor Syed Sibtey Razi with proof urging him to dismiss the Koda government and if the Governor failed to take any action he would move to the High Court.

Mr Marandi said the police were yet to act on the matter despite the CJM's four orders.

''The Chief Minister who makes law himself becomes the violator,'' Mr Marandi said.

Mr Marandi termed the excuse of police officer as ridicuious who was on leave and which caused delay in registering the FIR. It was ''unfortunate'', he said.
