AP Govt inks MoU with TCS on land allotment
Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for allotment of 75 acre of land in Adibatla Village in Ranga Reddy district for the company's expansion plans in the state.
The proposed expansion would signficantly accelerate investments in IT and ITeS and achieving greater geographical dispersion of the industry within the state, according to an official release here.
The Mou was signed by State IT and Communications Secretary Shailendra Kumar Joshi and TCS State Regional Head V Rajanna in the presence of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today.
The government was keen the state play a key role in the emerging knowledge economy and help educated youth of the state secure gainful employment.
The Chief Minister took this opportunity to call upon all the IT majors in the state to suport the government in improving educational standards and spreading IT facilities in all government-run junior colleges, especially in rural areas, as a part of their corporate social responsibility.
