African national held for intrusion

Barasat, Apr 19 (UNI) An African youth has been arrested by the Border Security Force(BSF) from Angrail, near Bangladesh border,in North 24 Parganas.

Interrogations revealed that the 26-year old youth, identified as Japhet, entered the Indian Territory through a clandestine route crossing the river Ichchamati at Angrail He was arrested by the BSF on April 17 while trying to sneak into the Indian territory.

Gaighata police suspect his involvement in drug peddling.

He was taken to Haridaspur camp of the BSF near Bangaon yesterday.
