Abortive bid to kill car showroom owner, two held

Varanasi, Apr 19 (UNI) Three armed youth made an abortive bid to kill a car showroom owner in the Chetganj area here today.

Three motorcycle-borne youths stormed into the car showroom in Andhra Pul area, and tried to open fire at owner Nanhu Khan and his son Ehsan.

The employees of the showroom, however, managed to foil their bid and nabbed one of the three youth Arshad.

Acting on a tip-off, cops arrested another accused. Their aide, however, managed to flee.

Two countrymade pistols and 10 live cartridges were recovered from the arrested youth, while a manhunt has been launched to nab their accomplice, police said.
