Workers' strike at NTPC adversely affect its projects

Kahalgaon, Apr 18 (UNI) The second phase of construction work was adversely affected at National Thermal power corporation (NTPC) Kahalgaon unit today following indefinite strike of the workers of NTPC today.

Sources at the NTPC, Kahalgaon, said here that the mechanical work of the project had totally collapsed due to the strike. The second and third units of the project would also be delayed in case the strike continued further, sources added.

Efforts were being made to end the strike.

Meanwhile, NTPC-Kahalgaon workers Union general secretary Srinivas Mandal said here that the workers were furious following non -fulfilment of the trilateral agreement, reached earlier between workers, contractors and NTPC, he added.
